Founded in 2012 by mountaineering pioneer Shekhar Babu, Transcend Academy of Rock Climbing (TARC) was born out of a desire to democratize adventure sports across India. What sets TARC apart is our holistic approach:
Anvitha Padamati, Director of India Operations, is an accomplished mountaineer who has successfully conquered some of the world's highest peaks, including Mt. Everest, Mt. Elbrus, and Mount Manaslu. Her remarkable achievement of climbing 5 out of the 7 Summits showcases her determination and passion for mountaineering. Anvitha brings her wealth of experience to inspire and guide aspiring climbers at Transcend Academy of Rock Climbing.
Poorna Malavath, the Lead Instructor, holds the Guinness World Record for being the youngest female to climb Mt. Everest. With the impressive feat of conquering all 7 Summits of the world, Poorna stands as a beacon at Transcend Academy of Rock Climbing, embodying determination and breaking barriers in the world of rock climbing.
Anand Kumar Sadhanapalli, also a Lead Instructor, brings over a decade of experience as an expedition leader. His successful ascent of Mt. Everest underscores his expertise in mountaineering and his role at Transcend Academy, providing crucial leadership and guidance to climbing enthusiasts.
