Why TARC
The journey that builds strength and confidence.
Founded in 2012 by mountaineering pioneer Shekhar Babu, Transcend Academy of Rock Climbing was born out of a desire to democratize adventure sports across India. In 2013, a training program for 110 students from Telangana's Social Welfare Residential Schools set that mission in motion. One of those students, 13-year-old Poorna Malavath, went on to summit Everest.
