A five-day journey through Visakhapatnam and the Araku Valley — museums and caves, adventure activities in the Eastern Ghats, and an immersion in the region's tribal culture and community life.

Araku Immerse — Explore, Learn, Engage — is a four-night, five-day cultural and ecological journey through Visakhapatnam and the Araku Valley. Students travel by train, explore museums and the million-year-old Borra Caves, take part in adventure activities in the Eastern Ghats, and live alongside the region's tribal communities.

The programme is designed to give students a holistic experience that combines adventure, local immersion and community engagement — building leadership, teamwork and a deeper appreciation for nature and different cultures, while fostering environmental consciousness.

What to expect

Highlights

Adventure activities

Rappelling, zipline / valley crossing and sky cycle in the Araku hills, led by specialised instructors.

Caves, ropeway & museums

The Araku train to the million-year-old Borra Caves, the Kailasagiri ropeway over Visakhapatnam, and the Submarine, TU-142 Aircraft and Sea Harrier museums.

Tribal culture & craft

Pottery, face-mask painting and lac-craft art, a Dimsa tribal dance around the campfire, the Coffee Museum, Giri Grama Darshini and the Tribal Museum.

Community & environment

A sunrise hike to Madagadda village, a plastic marathon (certificate by the ITDA) and an interaction with a local school.

Assemble at Secunderabad Railway Station and board the 3-tier AC train to Visakhapatnam.

Per student for school group bookings, plus 5% GST. Accommodation is in well-furnished hotel rooms on a quad-sharing basis, with camping also available within the resort premises.
